coloring

Last weekend I visited my friends the George's in Szeged. It was a wonderful, very relaxing weekend. Whenever I go there I feel like I'm home with family. Well, I guess while they were in America they bought a new box of Crayola Crayons and I got to use them.. here's what I colored.

Strawberry Shortcake is called Eperke in Hungarian! This huge coloring book is from America and I just hhhhhhhhhaddddddd to color in it. I think the girls thought it was awfully funny that a 26 year old LOVES to color. I think its thereaputic :)

new COOL things

Hungary is really working on moving up in the world in lots of areas.. they are trying! I give them credit!

The first cool thing that I've found since being home is that I can buy train tickets online. Then I just have to take my confirmation number to the kiosk at the train station and its gives me my tickets.

The second cool thing was bagged salad. You know fresh, pre-washed salad in a bag.. well its been here but I had to go to a "wal-mart" to buy it when i wanted to go to my local Food-Lion. Anyways. My grocery store downstairs now carries it! I had salad everyday for lunch. YUM.

The third cool thing is that they are re-routing lots of public transportation in Budapest so on the weekends I can now take a bus Clear across town all the way to Kalvin Ter and just sit comfortably on one bus the whole time. significance: California coffee Shop at Kalvin Ter ('starbucks'). (for those of you who are interested BKV)

I'm on my out of town. I'm going to visit the George's in Szeged!! I'm pretty excited!!

August 20th

Its like 4th of July but lots more fireworks. We have the day off and we meet with friends.

We ate turkish food, drank some yummy coffee (at Coffee Heaven) then we went to the Danube to watch some fireworks. Beautiful. Last year, I watched them from Buda and this year I watched them from Pest. Very beautiful!!

This flag is such a statement. It is the flag which only has 13 stars but its the one Betsy Ross Made. Right now as this flag is being raised during the Olympics I get chills. I love seeing my country's flag and hearing the Anthem. It also always reminds me to pray for the troops stationed all over the world. I don't get to see my country's flag very often and when I do my heart swell's up with an awful lot of pride!

I found my favorite pig, bunny, sheep, chickie, and worst dressed person.

It was a blast and I had great company while there! Thanks Sami for a great time in Huntingdon!!

Home of the Wit Cheeze Wiz

This past Saturday I went to Philadelphia, PA with my dear best friend and her sister's in-laws. It was a blast and I learned so much about my nation's history that I didn't know. We went to Independance Hall, where Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration, Ben Franklins house and grave, Carpenter's Hall, the Liberty Bell, Christ Church and many other places. It was a blast and I had so much fun doing so. We were on our feet all day and listening to all of things people had to say. We ended our day with Philly Cheese Steaks. OH YUM.

The Cheese Steaks were a blast to order because there was a certain way that you had to order. I was honestly super nervous when I got up there but my new friend Mike said I did a good job and Sami was there to back me up!

Here are some great pics!
